Hello all, Thanks again for taking time to view this blog. My name is Dj Stizz and I started making beats and recording when it was all keyboards, track boards and dat machines. I Remember my first large keyboard, A Korg Triton Pro. I just had to have it. I ran it in a 4 track tascam which was all I could afford after spending $2100.00 for Triton. To record at a professional studio, I would have to pack up the Triton, bring it to the studio, track out the beats sound by sound, record the song, then pay to get the song mix and mastered. I did this for years. Even when things began to steer clear into the way of digital I can't deny that I was stubborn thinking the digital beat making and recording world was more or less cheating until I decided to own a professional recording studio myself. I couldn't believe how easy recording, editing, and mixing was. WOW! No turning back now! but my pride would not let me go computer with making beats. Just within the past 2 years Iv'e gone full fledge computer with makingbeats as well. I feel the editing possibilities are endless. But still there's just something about the feel of that direct, in the keyboard hardware beat composition.
Some also say by music going completely digital the person who makes music is no longer limited from being heard by a budget. But some say this makes room for producers who aren't talented or serious about the art to put anything together and now we are forced to listen to rushed beats of no quality and a lack of talent. Please comment, I'd really like to know your view on this subject. Your time is greatly appreciated.
